Bio

Hello.  My name is Reagan Chase.  I am one of the Media Specialists at Oxford High School.  I am located in Room 128 in the high school.  Some of my duties include monitoring the computer labs, assisting teachers with lessons and resources, assisting students with research, projects, etc., developing and teaching lessons to students on how to search the internet for reputable sites, conducting inservice classes for teachers on various types of resources, facilitating ACCESS courses, remediating students for the AHSGE, and troubleshooting computer problems that may arise at the high school.

I feel very blessed to be working at OHS in the Media Center.  This state of the art facility is beautiful, innovative, and inviting.  We encourage students and teachers to take advantage of what the media center and specialists have to offer.

For ten years, I worked in this system at C. E. Hanna Elementary.  I was a P. E. aide (1 year), library aide (5 years), and a secretary (4 years).  While I was a secretary, I decided that I wanted to go to college and become a teacher.  In May of 2000, I resigned to finish my last year of school.  I have been teaching since.

My husband, Scott, and I are both graduates of OHS, along with our son Dillon and daughter, Stewart Gail.   Dillon works at FabArc and Stewart Gail plays softball at Southern Union.

Both of my parents were employed by this system.  My mother was the Librarian, and my father was the Head Coach and Athletic Director for fourteen years (1985-1999).   My sister and both of my brothers are Oxford graduates, as well as my husband's sisters and their families.   Being an OXFORD YELLOW JACKET just runs in our family.

     Go Big O!
