A new school year is underway and fall is in the air!  Now is the perfect time to join the newly formed Oxford High School Parent-Teacher Organization.  The sole purpose of this organization is to support students and teachers in the pursuit of academic excellence.

A membership drive is now underway.  There are two ways you may become a voting member of this PTO.  You may complete a Membership Enrollment form in the high school office or you may sign up during the first Oxford home football game.  There will be sign-up tables at each concession stand.  The requested dues donation is $1.00 per child and is not to exceed $5.00 per family per school year.  Collected dues will be used to purchase supplies and decorations for the events the PTO will sponsor.
 
The PTO plans to provide support for several projects this year.  Those projects include a Parent Night which will be hosted in the fall to give parents the opportunity to meet their students' teachers.  Second, acts of appreciate will be expressed to the faculty and staff in the spring.  And last but certainly not least, the PTO will provide support for the academic awards nights for each grade level and will award two scholarships to outstanding seniors.
 
Most PTO business will be conducted via e-mail.  However, there will be a meeting in October during the Parent Night to approve the PTO by-laws and select committee chairmen for the above listed projects.  Officer elections will be held in the spring.
